I must really like green......

Because I've already done two Dear Jane blocks green that should have been yellow. I guess I could swap them around, but the perfectionist in me will probably re-do them.

More Dear Jane Blocks

I've been working more on my Dear Jane blocks. I was kind of dreading B-3 Mirror Image. I hate piecing curves (especially after almost completing a version of this quilt). So I decided to use a different method that I saw on TV here. I thought it worked pretty well, but the fabric didn't release from the freezer paper very easily with the glue stick. Maybe I used too much glue. I'm still pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Dear Jane update

I've completed a couple more blocks for my DJ quilt and I'm especially happy with this last one. I really love how much the blue and white contrasts. I'm using bright rainbow colors and doing a modified version of Jane's Trip Around the World style.

I've really enjoyed learning how to applique as well. I never thought I would like it because I thought it would be tedious, but it gives me something to do while watching TV with DH.

Blogging

So, I'm new to this whole blogging thing, but I wanted a place to document all of my quilts as I worked on them, and I've gotten inspired by the vast number of quilting blogs out there.

I've started working on the Dear Jane quilt and have joined the Dear Baby Jane quilt group. I've done 6 blocks so far and I really like working on a smaller scale. I'll post my blocks when I get a chance.
